Derek Bergman is a Systems Engineer at Palo Alto Networks. Before that, he worked closely with a talented group of technology professionals who taught him the ways of geekdom. As a four-time Ask for Forgiveness Rather Than Permission Award winner, Derek enjoys breaking things only to make them greater and more secure. In his previous role as Network manager for Moreno Valley Unified School District, he shared plenty of UDP jokes that people may not get. When he's not playing with his two little rug rats, his hobbies include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. His road to success always seems to be under construction, but he's not lazy, he's simply on energy-saving mode. Derek values honesty, puns intended, courage, service, and a spirit of adventure.
