Steve Thornton serves as Director of Technology for the Menifee Union School District where he has been since September 2000. Steve is a past-president of the CA Educational Technology Professionals Association (CETPA) and has served the CETPA board since 2009 in various capacities including his current position as a director at large. Along with Aaron, he is also a founding member and former officer of the first CETPA regional group, CETPA Inland Area Technology Group (CIATG). Steve began his K-12 career in 1988. Over the years he has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and in IT Management. Prior to his work in ed-tech he worked in aerospace and owned a small business for several years. He and his wife Wendy have five children and five grandchildren including two they are raising full time. Steve’s hobbies include kayaking, hiking, backpacking, fishing, and fooling around with wood (woodworker in training).
