Aaron and Steve served as directors of technology in neighboring districts since the early 2000’s. They became fast friends as they both participated in meetings and at conferences throughout CA, most especially the CA Educational Technology Professionals Association. We enjoyed spending time together professionally and socially, and we both saw great value in the support, encouragement, and ideas that could be shared among technology leaders in our area. A few years after we met, we worked with a small cadre of like-minded technology leaders to create a local gathering that eventually became CETPA’s first regional group, CIATG (the CETPA Inland Area Technology Group). Our dream was to continue our service and work together and that came true when we both were elected to serve on CETPA’s governing board. There, we continued our professional work, our friendship deepened, and we became as brothers.
