ABF BOARD OF DIRECTORS MET THE PARENTS OF THE AWARD RECIPIENTS

On June 11, 2020, the student recipients of the Inaugural 2020 Aaron Barnett Foundation (ABF) scholarship, their families, and the Aaron Barnett Foundation Board of Directors meet to discuss the great journey that the student recipients are about to embark on. During the meeting, the students and their families learned more about the Aaron Barnett Foundation and the Foundation’s role in empowering youth in cybersecurity.

As recipients of the scholarship, the students also learned about their roles and responsibilities as the first group of Student Ambassadors for the Aaron Barnett Foundation.  ABF Student  Ambassadors continue to help their peers learn and grow in the IT and cybersecurity fields.  This is accomplished through mentorship opportunities through the ABF mentorship program and other clubs/groups offered at their schools.  ABF Student Ambassadors also help share the mission of the Foundation and provide support for future generations of students.

The Aaron Barnett Foundation Board of Directors is very excited to be working with this inaugural group of students and their families to share the passion for learning and cybersecurity that is the core of the Foundation.  Stay tuned in to our social media feeds and the Aaron Barnett Foundation website for future updates.
