Hi, I'm Daniel Mejia, one of the 2021 Aaron Barnett Foundation award recipients. I am a CSUSB student majoring in Business Administration with a Concentration in Cyber Security. I plan to graduate in 2025 with my Bachelor's degree then eventually open up my own firm. I have competed in Cyber Security competitions since 2016 and assisting in coaching for about a year. When I'm not working on my degree and or career I am watching football or esports. Coming from San Bernardino had its setback in getting me to where I currently am but my family members did the best they could to help me have the proper education and exposure to Cyber Security. My High School Cyber Security teacher also gave me the chance to lead teams in the competitions we were a part of and my senior year told me about the Aaron Barnett Foundation which has helped me pay for a part of my tuition and has continued to support me in pursuing my degree and getting workforce experience.
