Wendy Thornton
Teacher, Third Grade
Wendy Thornton is a third grade teacher for the Menifee Union School District where she has been since July 2007. Wendy began her teaching career with the Jurupa Unified School District in 2000 as a student teacher, then as an intern teacher, and finally as a first grade teacher. Wendy also gives private piano lessons to students in both Moreno Valley and Menifee. Her career has included Rigorous Curriculum training to write curriculum for her district during the transition to Common Core Standards, training for Professional Learning Communities, and training for Positive Behavior Interventions in Classrooms. Personally, she has received professional training as a StoryTeller and Dream Tender to facilitate circles for personal growth. Wendy loves Zion National Park and Yosemite and spends any time possible amongst the red rock and granite found in those National treasures.
