Aaron Barnett lived a life of joy and abundance. Even while struggling with life’s challenges, he maintained a positive mindset that inspired those around him. He loved an adventure, both at work and in his personal life. Aaron loved to travel, try new foods, meet new people and learn new things. He said “Yes!” and never “Maybe”, “Of course!” rather than “Why?”. His enthusiasm extended to how he viewed those around him. Aaron believed deeply in the abilities of others. His family, friends, colleagues, students—all were, in his mind, extraordinary. In fact, being in a room with Aaron provided an instantaneous boost in confidence! With all people, he demonstrated unquestioning generosity—he gave to others until he could give no more. The mission of the Aaron Barnett Foundation is to inspire and support those pursuing a career in cyber security, an area that was close to his heart. The Barnett family is heartened to know that his memory will live on through the educational pursuits of others.
